Robert
D. Zimmer, hotel/resort operator and planner, and Lisa Flynn, an extremely talented
project architectural designer and renderer from the offices of Zimmer Associates
International and Juan Manuel Sanchez, one of the world's leading land use planners,
from the Denver, Colorado office of Design Workshop, Inc., together with Andreas
Gomez, a principal of the widely respected architectural firm GVA (Gomez Vazquez
Aldana & Asociados) and
the master land planer for that firm Louis Martin Herrera,
along with Hacienda Los Pirules developer Gary Richtmyer, immersed themselves
in a week-long design *charette in San Miguel during February. The
charette produced very exciting design results, which are represented throughout
the web and explained further in the "Members Area" of the web pages.
The project concept was fixed and the master plan as well as various other plans
were completed. Everyone involved in the project is very excited with the outcome
of this charette and the actual architectural schematics are now in process.

*The term "Charette" appeared in Paris during
the late 1800's when architecture students rushing drawings
to the Ecole Des Beaux-Arts placed them on a cart called a charette. Today the
word is used by the architectural community to describe an intense, on-the-spot
design effort with the participation of everyone involved in a project's
development. |
